Abstract
A control unit for operating a vehicle equipped with a plurality of sensors for capturing environmental data. The control unit determines an observability value for a particular location in the environment, indicating how well that location can be sensed by the vehicle’s sensors. The vehicle is then operated in dependence of the observability value for that location.
