A cyber-physical systems approach to data center energy efficiency, coupling computational load management with thermal and cooling control through an integrated modelling and optimisation framework.
Abstract
This paper presents a cyber-physical systems approach to data center modeling and control for energy efficiency. The approach integrates thermal and computational models of data center infrastructure, enabling coordinated control of server workloads and cooling systems. The framework is validated through simulation and demonstrates significant energy savings compared to approaches that treat computational and physical subsystems independently.
